I don't believe there is any workaround for this issue at the moment. @nreese will be looking into a fix today, which will potentially go into the next minor.

We did used to have a `Cancel` button, and I'm not actually sure why this was changed. We could possibly think about returning to that!

I do wonder if `Exit edit` gives the connotations we're looking for - as you aren't really exiting anything, you're switching modes. Maybe `Stop editing`? @wajihaparvez could use your input here.

IMO the icon serves an important purpose to indicate that there is more information that will be shown on hover.

I see. Maybe it could be moved directly into that component? And I'd be in favour of removing the square brackets. EIther way not a big deal!
